pilliga to bathurst via Hill End

Hi, and many thanks to all those who have helped me in the past to plan my teravels.

Just returned from South Western Outback Qld. Great trip, and a must do for any "bucket-list".

I am now looking at a shorter trip, which will have me departing from Lightning Ridge, and traveling down thru Pilliga to Hill End, and coming out at Bathurst.

Just wondering if anyone has done this journey recently, towing a 20' van.

All comments will be appreciated, even those that might suggest getting my head read.

Cheers, KB

I did most of those roads over the last 2yrs , except Mudgee to Hill End &

that was 40y ago in a Mack & it was dirt.

But KB the 'trunk roads' were ok for a steady 80 to 90 k's , just in th tug.

But I would say Mudgee to Hill End to Bathurst , would still be dirt.

Somebody will know & enlighten us.

Aye, but is there any gold in them there Carcoar hills 'n hollows ..

I do but agree that Carcoar is indeed a lovely town. I nearly bought the old Bank (minus the business of collecting money) some years ago.

And how would you like to own that old Station on top of the hill?? I know I would.

Cheers. KB
