Perth (Nullarbor) to Nations Capital $25-


This post is for "General Information" and to assist Grey Nomads crossing the Nullarbor.

We have utilized both Camps 8 and Wiki Camps.

Perth to Karalee Rock & Dam some 400klms from Perth just East of Southern Cross.

Flushing toilets/fire pits/dump point. 5klms off the highway on good dirt road. (Donation $5)- maintained by volunteers.

Karalee Rock/Dam to Norseman for fuel and water. Fuel $1.38 (BP) and water from Info Center gold coin donation.

Norseman to Newman Rock. 2/3klms off the highway Free camp. (No facilities)

Newman Rock to 13 mile peg (East of Eucla) Fuel at Eucla 1.66. No facilities. Water views.

13 Mile Peg to Cohen Rest Point. (Toilets and Showers at Nullarbor Roadhouse clean and very well maintained showers cost) Cohen Rest Point (No Facilities)

Cohen Rest Point to Kimba Recreational Camp. Toilets/Showers.dump point/water and blue metal base for camping area. Showers are timed/cost Donation $5-. Note when you come into Ceduna at the BP you will find water and dump point.

Kimba to Hallett via Port Augusta fuel $1.34 and water/dump point at Wirmington. Hallett Recreation collect key at shop for toilets/showers no power $10-.

Hallett to Mildura. Stop at Renmark for fuel/great lunch stop in town. Phycic Bend for camp at Mildura. No faciilities on the Murray River (Free Camp)

Mildura to Burrabogie Reserve East of Hay (No facilities) on the Murrumbidgee. Free Camp. No signage.

Burrabogie Reserve to Jugiong via Wagga. Jugiong has water/toilets/dump point and located to cafe/pub/green grocer. Donation $5

This is 4000 klms at .27c per klm for 200 series Land cruiser pulling 3ton. over 10 days.

Accomm $25-

 We travel with our small dog so Pet friendly is a high priority for us. Good info though, note however that Karalee Rock & Dam is in a National Park, so no pets allowed.

Not bad on the cost at 0.27c per K with your setup either.
