Has anyone left their caravan at the Gregory Downs Hotel to go into Lawn Hill. Looking at going to Lawn Hill next year and do not want to take the caravan in. Also the road condition into Lawn Hill?

Any information would be appreciated.

We left our van there when we went into Lawn Hill for a couple of days. Road into LH suppression coated (like wet tar) first 45 K's - then rough corrugations after turn off to mine next 45 K's. July 2015.
Publican is a "character" would not like to upset her, staff very friendly and "backpacker" kitchen staff great meals.

We left our van beside the river to do the day trip a few years ago.

Not sure if it's true in another post it has stated no camping on the river bank anymore , Someone may know if this is so

No one seems to take notice of that sign. Have not seen any threads where members have said they were pinged for camping there.

Possum 3 is spot .We were there in august and stayed by the river for 4 days with about 20 other vans . One of the highlights of our trip..
