Howdy, chooknphil, Yes there has been a number of truck fires here lately, and I suppose there will be more as Summer heats the roads up plus the vehicles travelling on them.
That's a good idea you have, one of those heat detectors, could save you a lot of money should you get an over-heated brake or bearing and spot it in time to do something about it.
