Hello Every one...We are looking at purchasing a Hema hn7 Navigator...For our caravan travels and would like to know if any one can give us some information on it ...Greatly Appreciated...
Can't give You specific on the HN7 but I have the HN5I, Find the offroad (4WD) mapping excellent the street mapping IGO I find very good and prefer it over my invehicle mapping.
If You are going to remote and a lot of outback travel the cost should be justified. They take a bit of getting used to though.
Hi Karen, we have an HN6i, the immediate predecessor to the 7i.
Initially it was fantastic, but at about a year old I am starting to get frustrated with how slowly it acquires satelites, and how the iGo (road navigator) wanders off on adjacent roads. The accuracy of the Ozi explorer (off road ) part of the system appears to be much better.
In the last month i have been considering getting a replacement unit to use in the city.
I have spoken to Hema, who i found were dismisive of the problems I was experiencing.

Plendo Hi,
Some time ago was having trouble with my unit being slow, Topo map tracks are saved & need clearing from time to time so as to free up memory space.
Took the unit into Hema, replaced battery, serviced unit including firmware update, added camps 7 for $50.00 have found them excellent to deal with.
