I am 75 years and have suffered with Peripheral Neuropathy for many years. For the uninformed, Peripheral Neuropathy is nerve damage in my feet as a result of Type 2 Diabetes, and gives me a burning stinging sensation in my feet, and is there 24 / 7 only varying in intensity. My Doctors have given me several tablets and meds, but nothing has helped with the pain. While Googleing around the world, I have just stumbled onto an Anaesthetic cream that numbs the surface for people having Tattoos done, and is supposed to last 3 to 4 hrs. I have just ordered some from Hong Kong and should have it in 2-3 weeks.
WATCH THIS SPACE.
I would also welcome comments from anybody else in the same boat, and any tips they can offer.

I have had this problem for about 7 years & take 25mg Endep each night. Although Emdep doesn't remove the problem completely it does bring down the burning/stinging sensation to a pins & needles sort of tingling. I call the condition - "fuzzy feet". I think my problem is caused by nerve problem in my lower back. I do not have diabetes. Hope you get relief with the cream. Regards Alice
Thanks Alice, my wife just reminded me I was on 10 mg Endep a few years ago, and they made me tired and sleepy, and all I wanted to do was lay down all day so I had to give them away. I have also been on Lyrica and Tegretol tablets that gave me enormous problems by causing an enlarged Prostrate. On both of those occasions I had to stop them immediately (after 5 or 6 Tabs) because I couldn't wee sitting down, and barely managed to get a dribble while standing. It took about 5 days to get back to near normal. Sorry to get down to such personal details, but that is the facts. I know some Meds are good for some people and some are not, it would be good if we were all like sheep.
Cheers......Simmo.

I got this info from a friend who suffers from this condition, I has passed it onto Young Simmo already but may be of interest to others, see Simmo's feedback though in earlier post here:
"Some have been caught when ordering overseas. Peripheral Neuropathy. The best drug if he can tolerate it is Cymbalta, an Antidepressant or Lyrica (pregabalin). See link below;
Well I finally received the first of the 2 Annesthetic Ointments I ordered. Gave it a try at 5.15 pm this arvo and I can say it worked for something like 3 to 3 1/2 hours. That is the first time, and I have another one coming from Holland. I reckon I might be onto something and will keep you advised even thou it is early days. This one is only 10 Mgrms and from Hong Kong. The other one is 35 Mgrms and from Holland and cost about 35 bucks Aust, which is better than about 230 bucks if you buy in Aus.

If it looks like it works can you let us know the name of it please Simmo, thanks
No worries Vic, it is early days and as I get some positive info to hand on I will follow up here. After many years and many different tablets and blank "I don't know" looks on Drs faces, I am feeling quietly confident.

OK, I have just used the cream for the 2nd time and it is giving me an enormous lot of relief, still early days but I am very happy. On both occasions I rubbed it on at about 5pm when I am settling down for my nightly look at the 50 different News programs. I am not saying it is for everybody but, I personally am getting enormous comfort and pain release from it. NOW, I have only received the first lot which is 10 grams and from China. Still waiting for the 2nd lot from Holland which is 35 Grams. Also I think $ 38 from Holland is slightly better than $200 to $240 from an Aust supplier. Here's the important info.
Once I have this all sorted out, I might try it on my Arthritic left thumb which gives me a lot of curry, especially when there is a change of weather coming. I must have some medical skills because I was a milko 45 years ago.

Yeh Vic, I have used it for the last 3 evenings at 5 pm when I am settling down, and it is giving me unbelievable comfort. For the rest of the day I just put up with my rotten feet, as it is all experimental for me but my confidence is growing by the day. Only got a couple of days left in that little 10 gram tube, so I am keen to get the 35 gram tube from Holland which has a different name, but probably very similar.
Anyway as I said before, after years of severe discomfort, Drs, Tabs and Advice, I may have jagged something with the help of my friend, Mr Google.
Cheers.....Simmo.

OK Vic, I got the 2nd tube from Holland which isn't really that good, in fact no where near as good as the little 10 gram tube from Hong Kong I got at the start, I am still waiting on the third one from Hong Kong which is 6%. Sorry for the slow response, but when it is coming from far away you have to be patient which I am not trained for. Anyway I am definitely onto something and should be able to give a positive response in the next week or so. In the mean time my burning stinging feet are still there motivating me.
Boy, us Oldies do waffle sometimes, but if it helps lets do it.

Hey there Simmo, good news that the cream is giving you some relief. I know what you are going through, as I too have peripheral neuropathy. Mine is caused by a motorcycle accident years ago with me landing on my lower back and damaging nerves, resulting in the coating on the nerves to my feet / legs dying off. This has now left me with numb feet and lower leg.
The only thing that gives me any relief at all is Lyrica and before it came on the free list it cost me $190 a month.
I take a 300 mg capsule morning and night. If I miss one, then I suffer terribly.
As you know there is no cure and it gets steadily worse, so the little relief we can get, we jump at.
I hope these creams work for you mate, anything is worth a go. Cheers, Sarg.
G'day Sarg, a couple of years ago My Dr gave me Lyrica which was not a nice experience. I only took about 3 of them and had some serious problems with an enlarged prostate. I couldn't pee siting down and barely managed a dribble while standing and it took about 4 or 5 days to get back to normal. A bit later I was given Tegretol and had a similar experience. I know we are all different, and it sounds like you are onto a winner with your meds, but I will persevere with this Anesthetic cream caper as, I will be 76 in Jan next year and comfort is the Number One thing on my mind these days. Cheers.......Simmo

Also Sarg, another thing I do to increase my comfort level is get my feet up in the air a bit. Fortunately I have a recliner rocker to lounge in, and pull the lever to raise my feet up, then throw my chair back as far as it will go. This gets my feet up near the height of my chest or shoulders and the reduced blood flow makes a noticeable difference to the pain in my feet. If you have a standard solid lounge chair, you can put a kitchen chair in front with a couple of cushions or pillows on it and raise the level of your feet that way. While sitting watching TV, the reduced blood flow makes a big difference.
I read on a Forum some where about the reduced blood flow helping, and it sure does help me although, I also agree we are all different.
Good luck......Simmo.

Thanks for the feedback on the stuff from Holland Simmo, pity it wasn't the same as the other.
Regards feet up, for temporary relief when it get real bad, have you seen those things that look like a hinged stretcher on a frame that you stand on in an upright position and then tip backward so your feet are in the air? I can't recall what they are called ?
