Tasmania

We are now into our 4 month in Tasmania. Weathered the cold winter not in the van though, working a B&B which was really busy and heaps of fun.

We are house sitting at the moment at Clarence Point over looking the water which is beautiful. 6 weeks stint.

Inbetween we have been free camping and their are plenty of lovely spots. Not a lot of campers at this time of year, I wonder why!

Rod has put food on the table hunting Venison, lamb, rabbit and back strap of the grey wallaby. (I dont like hunting but will do the cooking)

Smoked salmon supplied by friends and such an array of dfferent potatoes and yummo apples.

We both love Tassie and found the locals to be so friendly and I love the little towns.

Head off early November again to continue our journey throughout Tassie and should return to the mainland around April next year.

So excited as I saw pink wren during our stay at the Western Tiers.

Needed a visit to the Op shop to stock up on winter clothes, most were $2.00 each. A bargain. Will leave behind on our departure.

Love the way side stalls, markets and off to the tulip farm in the next week.

The bulbs and flowers are beautiful, so much like my home country(NZ).

We have been able to pick up work along the way, dirty word that.

So our life here is wonderful, enjoy the seasons, the people and the culture.

Sue

Struth! You two are sure doing it hard over seas. Agree, nice place Tassie. I had the pleasure of being there for only a month early last year. All up I have been there 3 times, each a month.

Good Golly Molly you are not too far from us.  We are currently camped at Bakers Pint, heading down to Bridgenorth tomorrow to meet with our next house sit clients.  How long are you a Clarence Point?
