What is a BC-00-15A? Does it have any other identification on it like brand name etc? Is this a fault that has just occurred or is it a new radio you are installing?

Dennis and Yvonne,

Just returned from a trip to Ballina NSW,the CD/RADIO is the only unit in the van that operates on 12v,still same ongoing problem.

Peter,

Only had van for 2 months, contacted previous owners they all had the same problem.

BC-012-15A is a SMART CHARGE unit screwed to the front boot wall.

Hi Scribbles,

As I sit here in front of my computer, all I can say is, I cannot see the problem biggrin

I think it is time to get an auto electrician or a friend who is 12v savvy and actually check out what the wiring is and what is supposed to happen. If the cd/radio power wire is not switched over to the smart charge unit then it will not work. Sounds like it was never wired properly.hmm

That seems strange, having a battery and large charger that only supply a radio/CD unit. Are your lights 12 V ones or are they 240 V ones?

I tend to think the way, there is a possibility the van was not wired correctly or the wiring was fiddled with after delivery.
