Murrurundi caravan park. NSW

This is a great little park that is owned by a couple who have spent time on the road. They have put a lot of work into the park up to a high standard, and have now opened up a large area for self contained RV's for $10pn.  If you are travelling the New England Highway, worth a stop.

The town is about a 20min walk and it is a great little spot to spend a few days. I spent three weeks there last year.

I have permission of the park owners to put the pics up onto the site.

Aerial view - Since the new owner took over I now use it rather than Quirindi when on the way home.

PeterD, what's up with Quirindi, I'm heading that way soon.

Quirindi, nothing wrong with the park to tell people to steer clear of it. The sites are a little cramped and not long enough for our 12.5 metre rig to park without hanging over the ends. The drive through sites are on large concrete slabs that accommodate two rigs. There is a small strip of nice grass between the slabs for you to step out onto but not big enough to comfortably accommodate awnings fully erected. There are a few grasses sites at the back of the park but I have only once been able to score one of those. There are a a few grassed sites at the front of the park but they have a hump in the middle.

On the other hand the amenities block is wonderful. More parks should have one as good as this one. It's nice and roomy.

Since the Murrurundi one reopened and was cleaned up I like it better. The sites are a little more roomy. It's also not much further for me to travel and it's a little closer to home. If Quirindi suits your schedule better then go for it. I have been meaning to spend a day in Werris Creek some time, I will probably return to Quirindi for a couple of nights.
