Bushfire ADVICE for Great Northern Highway five kilometres west of Fitzroy Crossing in the Shire of Derby West Kimberley.

A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people travelling along Great Northern Highway,

five kilometres west of Fitzroy Crossing in the Shire of Derby West Kimberley.

• The fire is burning on both sides of the Great Northern Highway. 

BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR:

• The bushfire is moving fast in a  West North Westerly direction.
• It is out of control and unpredictable.

• Fitzroy Crossing Volunteer Fire Service fire-fighters are actively fighting the fire.

  • The incident was reported at 2.10pm today. 
  • The cause of the fire is suspicious.
  • People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Police Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
