Dululu Pub in Qld was destroyed by fire. Burnt to the ground today.

On the ABC news tonight it had photos of the fire and it was contained to the bottom floor and did not spread to the upper floor so that good news

DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
The Dululu Hotel has been gutted by a fierce blaze that ignited after midday. Crews managed to bring it under control, but not before the fire destroyed both levels of the hotel. Details at 6pm. #7News #7NewsQ #Fire



 I understand this building was heritage listed. a great shame to lose it.

Gee that not good, a great watering hole.

Have fond memories of dinners there when I was long distance transport driver going from Sydney to Rocky or Townsville in the early eighties when there was not much food on that run. Ralph

even Less out that way , on 'th beef rd' & torrens ck rd in th 70s Ralph.

& as CG puts it , it's all fotr now . food on th run.

Yep had th odd pot & plate there myself.

They had picture of the interior of the hotel on Brisbane ABC TV news last night , It showed the the fitting were damaged and walls blacken and said the fire never got to the top floor of the hotel . Looking at the film footage and had been a professional firefighter for 40 years this hotel should be up and going again soon .

stopped there a year or  2 back and was rather horrified at the condition of the place .... A fire waiting to happen .... had a bit of a laugh at what we thought was a fire escape ladder on the side wall ..... it just stopped half way down the external wall ....... was amazed anyone would underwrite the insurance on it.  Would have been a gem in its day ... Probably cost a fortune to maintain ........
