We are currently parked up at Mingenew part of WA's Wild Flower Country and part of the wheat belt. In fact it is the largest inland grower fed recieval facility in the Southern hemisphere with capacity of $403,000 tons. However back to the real story, we have been working our way back to Perth coming down the Great Northern Highway until we turned right at Mount Magnet. Then headed west to Yalgoo, Pindar and Mullewa. Hang on to the little village name of Pindar.
The WA wildflowers are spectacular this year due to winter rains, we drove down from shark bay two weeks ago in a mass of everlastings, currently in Kalbarri and lots of flowers around here too, will be in Moora Sunday, where I expect it will be also a good year.
I love wreath flowers! Apparently they like to grow in disturbed ground such as mined areas or road-base dumps. We saw some on the Tibooburra - Broken Hill roadside. Nothing as beautiful as the ones pictured here though.
