Unexpected dangers when in Nth Q/L

If you tow a caravan please watch this to the end - our biggest concern is the camber on our roads in North Qld due to our rainfall - if you are not used the roads up here guys you come into the main street in Babinda and you end up ripping your awnings off or tearing holes in your caravan trying to get back out of the carpark again - we love our travellers and we hate to see this happen, however in the unfortunate situation where it does wreck our downpipes instead of the caravan then we consider they have had a very lucky escape -(and we have just given up fixing the downpipes hoping this will serve as a warning for future caravan owners) This is the 7th time this winter season that this has happened in front of our shop - let alone the other shops in town - one from down the road about a month ago ripped a hole in their actual van about 500mm x 500mm down to the insulation layer below - we have spoken to the local council about more signage and they say you can't help stupidity (quote unquote) - what they do not acknowledge are these drivers do not usually drive in North Qld with these cambers all the time and need to be warned somehow so this is just my attempt to do so.

Great spot Babinda but we pull into the free camp and walk up the street.
I still reckon one day I will walk into the pub and see Chips Rafferty

What a great warning Dave and Di, thankyou. The warning could apply to any street or road in the playground really.

Good use of this great forum.

Well done.

Easy to do when you dont allow for the slope of the road. I nearly got caught once trying to park 'out of the traffic' in a narrow main street.

Trouble is once you are there it's very hard or impossible to get out without damaging something , let alone your ego !!

Crikey, this is pretty basic stuff, if you can't recognize the potential danger the camber represents perhaps you shouldn't be towing a van or driving a larger vehicle.

The clown in the video realized full well he had a issue and continued to compound the problem, then finally decided to roll the dice and simply drove off, what a dill.confuse
