Booktopia has Camps 8 for $8.00.  $6.95 for postage but still a great buy.

I wonder why they are so cheap. Even camps 7 was still selling high before the 8 came out. It never went down that low.

I don't know why so cheap but it's the real deal.  I ordered one before they go as they surely will.  I've ordered from Booktopia many times, they're a good operator.

Strange to be that price but it also says "We are temporarily out of stock" so whether you can buy it now and get it later???

I'll correct that. The first is out of stock but the next 2 seem ok.

Probably not selling well, reduced to move stocks as Wikicamps has sort of taken over. We use the Camps books more reliable.

I ordered the camps 8 book and now just got an email to say they have cancelled the order!!!!!

Can they do this?

I suppose they can do that under the terms and conditions they set.

not good for their credibility though to not honour the advertised price. it is still advertised at that price on facebook as at 1.05pm.

It was all over the Facebook pages so I'm sure when they were deluged with orders, someone checked and they had the price listed incorrectly.  I haven't heard back (yet) to say that my order has not been accepted.

I have received a cancellation of order notice from Booktopia.

No mention of the refund due for the $14.95 paid via PayPal, email sent to Booktopia.

Awaiting reply.

An offer too good to be true. Even Camps don't sell them this cheap direct off their web site. I bought the large spiral bound Camps 8 when it was first released at a discount price. it cost me $80 or thereabouts.

Have to say that since then I have always used wikicamps and my Hema GPS which has all the Camps sites on it - but I am a strong supporter of AUSTRALIAN publishers putting out books for Nomads and similar, so always support them. I reckon we have about 12 or so camp fire type cook books LOL - and never use them......

 I just logged onto my Paypal and the payment has been cancelled.  Back to where I started, no book but have the money still in my bank.

 Same for me.  No notification from them but my Booktopia account indicates the order has been cancelled.  

I am aware of at least one person who ordered theirs last Wednesday (before word spread) and paid $8 and got it yesterday.  Obviously a misprint in their system.
