Having experienced severe wind at Camooweal Billabong, the type which comes real fast and lifts up awnings,we had a tense drive all the way to Townsville as nothing could be done in Mt Isa funnily enough! So, having to miss out on the wonderful Rodeo, as Brian could not relax with the damage done, we got to Townsville and got all assessed at Caravanmart. Then had to wait for everything to come from miles away of course. To pass the time until repairer was ready for us, we spent a lovely week just north at Bluewater Park. When Bob Black was ready ,we took van to his business at Garbutt. He had van for 5 days, new awning ,window and a few other bits and pieces, like half a side of cladding, new checker plate decals, etc and now the Traveller Belair looks better than new. We thoroughly recommend his workmanship and treatment of clients, so to any one who may need repairs done in Townsville ,go see Bob and his very professional staff.
I agree about the wind in Camooweal, but it was a low overhanging bough of a tree that collected my slide toppers drained the roller at the Barkly Roadhouse...I have managed to find a repairer in Alice Springs who will fix it when I get there in a few days, I had to cut through the vinyl cover so as to free it up to open the slide out .
Thankfully, Nova Caravans had a new replacement roller in house and are forwarding on to the repairer.

Hi Wendy. Its always good to strike a tradie who takes pride in their workmanship - getting harder to find nowdays!
Have you listed this company under the Recommendations" thread - sub-thread is mechanics?
This post will be buried in a few weeks times with newer ones and someone who needs Bobs work, that wont know about him. It will be easy to find him under the "mechanics" sub-forum here :))

Also a bit better aesthetically, took off black vinyl from front and put on checker plate, which should not deteriorate as the vinyl does.this is answer to Aus-kiwi
