Depends what you use it for. Not enough if you are having showers everyday. I usually carry 80ltrs in tank. This is for showers and washing up water. Usually put in clean tap water so that at a pinch I can drink it. Also carry about 50litrs in store bought water. I travel remote a lot. This is used for drinking and cups of tea. I figure I can last quite a long time if stranded. Never happened but......touch wood. You can get some sort of water at most places so if you are not travelling remote not a lot of water needs to be carried. And really, remote is not that remote these days.

We do similar to msg. 60L onboard tank for showering, washing up and emergency water. And 30 or 40L in cubes, plus about a dozen small bottles in the vehicle fridge for drinking while travelling.

HI Guys

K Mart was selling collapsible 20ltr water containers that are a cube shape, they were approx $10-$15. they are reasonably sturdy and when empty they take up little room. Anyway, food for thought.

In our old van, leaving Brisbane we managed to visit the following places on various trips
Cooktown Longreach Tasmania. We only had a 55 litre tank, plus we would also fill a couple of thoses 15 litre water casks.
But a struggle.;
Now we have a van with 2x 80 litres and 2 x 20 litre jerry cans.
We can bush camp for up to 10 days or more. Quick Showers are the answer for hygiene.

We take 2 full 80lt tanks in the van for showers etc and bottled drinking water for cups of tea. Lasts about a week.
