Knife Holder

bigknives.JPGknives.JPG

I built this yesterday. I have always disliked knife blocks since;

1. you have to have the right size for the knives you have.

2. You have to pay attention when stowing the knife.

3.They get all scungy.

This one has an open sided box packed with skewers and you just chuck the knives in. Yes the paring knives disappear into the skewers unless they are packed fairly tightly. I am always making kebabs so I figure they will get used faster than they get manky.  Not recommended for clean freaks. Protip ; when you buy the skewers get twice as many as you could possibly imagine you will need .

Very clever Muzz, who holds the knife throwing target in the background?

That's a neat idea Muzz. Similar to a knife holder we have that is basically a box filled with nylon bristles.

That's a good idea but the dust would get into it I think. We put a magnet one on the wall.it works well
