A New day resolution starting from now

As a result of the goings on here today,

I hereby resolve not to comment on anything posted here that may be interpreted as a personal attack on any member of this forum no matter what is in the post or what it is about, they are entitled to there opinion as I am to mine, as an adult I will choose to take the higher ground and not start a slinging match of opinions as it will not change the opinion of the other person nore will it change mine so the point is mute, agree to disagree, in silence, and move on with life.

As my father said many times " never argue with an idiot, you will never win "

I will endeavour to not make deliberate racist comments however I will at times be politicly incorrect as I have grown up with a lot of terms that a minority now find objectionable and old habits are hard to break and I will not bow to a minority opinion just because it differs to mine a bad apple is a bad apple regardless of what colour size or shape that apple is.

I have my opinion on a lot of subjects mostly created by personal experience not hearsay, these opinions probably won't change now, but some may mellow over time with new experiences I reserve the right to adjust my opinion but I will not be forced to by another

I have re read the forum rules tonight I will endeavour to read them once a week so as to keep them fresh in my mind, and as a result help to return this forum the great state it was in when I joined.

Lets get back to helping each other not bickering with each other

Who else here is big enough to also do this

Thanks for your post re-tolerance and understanding, it is so refreshing to read such common-sense and wisdom.

Mmm my sense or lack of it has never been all that common and I really thought old age would give me wisdom but it hasn't helped at al, in fact I think I may have lost a few marbles along the way. Lol

Criticizing the individual for their point of view has never been acceptable behavior on any forum, but unfortunately it is very easy to fall into that trap when a valid logical argument against another's point of view does not come readily to mind.

There have been a number of replies I have typed out and not posted after reading over again what I had actually typed, I can only hope I remember to continue to do this.

Cheers, Tom

Hi - I personally cannot understand what it is some women (and men) are so worried about.  I love the travelling life, and three months goes so quickly, you will be back home before you know it.

Oh, and good one, woody and sue, though, being adults we should not have to do any of this, we should be mature enough to do the right thing, in my opinion, there are some people's posts I just don't read because I don' t like their attitude to others.

Agreed Jules, as we grow older, experience/tolerance should broaden and not narrow, and help us accept and appreciate what we have, rather than be twisted about what we don't have..... reasonable attitude is everything...hope all goes well with your Motorhome problem and you're back out yonder again.......Hoo Roo

P.S. Wish Billeeeee would grace us once again with a few syllables......I fear we are taking ourselves far toooooo seriously once again.
