The Freedom Camping group have just published their report into Free-Camping around Australia and it may be of interest to people here
Over the past 12 months their interview team have spoken to over 1000 people from Qld to Tassie and right across to WA. Heaps of caravanners, motorhomers, 5th-wheelers, all of whom love the 'free-camping' lifestyle and who do not want it to disappear
In huge contrast to the claims of the caravan parks lobby, they found that 'Free-campers' as a whole spent about $680 per week / almost $100 per day as they travel; 'Free-campers' as a group of travellers actually used paid accommodation for about 1/3 of their nights on the road; 80% of all 'Free-campers' vans / MH were self-contained with toilel & shower; and there was heaps more

Looks like an interesting read... I will do so when I have a few spare moments.... You know what it is like when being retired... always something to do, but can not remember what it was.
Thanks for link

Very comprehensive report and should be published wildly especially in towns with complaining Caravan parks owners
