I also have to acknowledge two businesses in Carnarvon. Repco, I went in because the battery charger I bought in Kalgoorlie was defective. It turned out I had not even bought it from Repco, however the lady there said not a problem and sourced a new charger for the unit, and gave it to me free of charge. Very impressed.
Secondly I have a small chip in my windscreen. Went to Novus this morning, the chap there said he would come straight away to have a look at it. Came and looked, told me that the chip is only superficial and is fine. Too small for him to anything about, so it cost me nothing again. He could have told me that he needed to do heaps of work and charged me for it, I would have believed him. Very impressed again.

great to hear that you got such fantastic service!! Hve you added them to the mechanics sub post in the Recommendations post?? That way they will be there forever - rather than get buried in all the other posts here.....

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
Good to hear Sharon, on my last trip around the block pulling a caravan, which included many stops in out of the way free camps and long distances in between legs etc, I got to a caravan park in Carnarvon, parked up and next day went to start my tug and nothing.
A check showed the battery was stuffed. Called the RAC who came out and got me started and told me to attend Beaurepairs in town, they changed the battery straight away and gave me an RAC discount and I was mobile again. I was very thankful the battery decided to cark it in a town and not in some isolated place. It was 7 years old so on borrowed time.
I was also impressed with the friendliness of the people in Carnarvon.
