Those Germans are an adventurous lot! We were camped directly behind the sand dunes at Golden Beach on the 90 mile Beach VIC. We woke up one morning to a knock on our vans door. Three Germans in a Wicked Camper had pulled in overnight & were bogged in deep sand up to the axles. Could you pull us out! Backed the Ranger up & connected the natch strap, out they come! In just 6 hours time they were due at Melbourne Airport to fly home, hope they made it. Golden Beach is about 250kms from Melbourne. Eventually we erected a BEWARE DEEP SAND sign up as we had to pull two other lots of people out. LOL.
