Firstly I would like to thank the two members who offered to assist me, unfortunately our timings were out of whack and were were not able to get together.
As per your suggestions:
1. I got to know my new ute better, I found long driveways to practice reversing, did plenty of reverse parking and backing into parking spots. All sorted.
4. I learned more where my ute was within the lanes and drove off to the left to feel my tyres on the left line and at times when appropriate the right line.
2. I practised breaking hard so I knew my stopping distance with out a van in tow.
3. I used my Tradie's Pass at Bunnings and borrowed their trailer and took it to a car park and practised parking, I stuffed it up many times, got it right a few times but didn't know how I had done it.
4. Today, I did the Tow-Ed course, what a fabulous course, Graham went out of his way to make sure I understood the procedures for towing etc and went over the checking of my ute while on the road. I mastered the right reverse into a spot the 3rd try and the left reverse 2nd try, I backed up to the tow first go. I passed my course with flying colours.
I used Tow-Ed's van which was 18ft and mine is 11.6ft.
Thanks everyone for your assistance, I now have the confidence, not over confident, to hit the road.
You sound very proud of yourself right now,as you should, that is quite an achievement.
Power to you.
Now once you are on the road doing it every day it will get easier and you will wonder why you were ever concerned about doing it.
Look out Australia here comes Naomi !!!

Well done Naomi, congatulations and all that good stuff at ya. You must feel very proud and excited knowing you have achieved a very possitive outcome to something you were a little worried about.
Now you have no excuse as to why you aren't out in the playground playing. See ya out here somewhere.
Keep Safe out there.
