Widespread, drenching rain across many parts of Western Australia's agricultural region, brings a smile to the faces of local farmers.
Generous falls include 56 millimetres in Buntine, 63 millimetres at Watheroo East, and 61millimetres at West Koorda, with the highest reported over 100 millimetres at Wongan Hills. And the rain continues to fall.
In Nungarin, 250 kilometres north east of Perth, John Shadbolt is a very happy man having received 50 millimetres.
"There is water running through the paddocks and the crops are standing up and sucking it all in, so it is just wonderful," Mr Shadbolt said.
The local Wild Flowers should be a great sight this year. "Bring em on"
