depending on the State your vehicles are registered in, most will do it by email jowdays (the govts don't care - so long as they get your money). Contact your home Transport Dept for details - often if you check their website, it will allow you to change from snail mail to email there, rather than being on phone hold for an hour or so.
As far as road tolls - go online for each State. VIC for example have a private company and a govt dept who charge road tolls. If you go on-line you will find you can buy and have on-going charges made to your credit Card for one month which covers ALL road tolls. No doubt NSW and QLD have the same.
If youre not used to road tolls - watch out - they are very expensive. We travelled across Melbourne once and the charge was a few cents short of $20 for a return trip.
Road fines are a problem. They will send them to you by snail mail. You need to find someone who will receive your mail and either forward them onto you c/- a P.O near to you, or open your mail and tell you the details, or scan the document. You can pay fines by electronic means like credit card, BPay etc

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
Get an Etag for tolls, work in all states
Note when regos are due and you can do it on line, if your vehicle is under 5 years old for NSW
Unfortunately you have to front up for a photo for license but you can renew it for 5 years so do that before you leave
I have as much as possible done by email, then direct debits etc. Only a couple of things are now by snail mail and they go to my daughter and she lets me know then I arrange for her to send to a PO in a prepaid express pack that I have delivered to her in packs of 10. All easy and I get a tracking number as well.

In Queensland my 5 year licence was renewed in 2010 for another 5 years - they just sent me a sticker to stick on the back for the next 5 years. I'm presuming they will send another sticker this year for the next 5 years as I haven't changed a bit
Sorry Hako, after you have done your five year thing on line, the next one has to be done with new photo etc. My Qld licence was renewed with a little difficulty when I was in remote SA, had to download paperwork, get a passport photo (bit hard in the Oodnadatta Track), get it all signed off by police or doctors or JP and back to qld. Fortunately it worked, by the time we reached Marla I had the receipt for my new licence, and by the time I reached Adelaide I had my new licence in hand.
Check when your 2015 renewal is due.

To all of you thankyou for your advice, I will attend to to this matter but I do think the RTA or Licencing authorities police fines etc could be sent to an email address plus you will not be shocked to find your licence cancelled and you have no insurance it is a crazy situation. anyway I will get around it.
