Hi all

My bride has just arrived at pensionable age and Centrelink require her to report every 2 weeks. Anyone else in that situation?

Sounds strange.

We have been part pensioners for almost a decade & never had to do that.

Only contact them when circumstances change or when I choose to update assets/income details.

This maybe because you or she is still working , If that is so her pension can be affected by your combined income

AH it may be that I get a pension from DVA as well. Crazy thing is that Centrelink pay that and know exactly when and how much.. We have stopped working, she and I will do some part time stuff come vineyard growing and vintage. Could be that as well.. Question answered, thanks guys.

Nothing like a great government system... NOT don't get me started on that...

Time to chnage to AV bigP. I wouldn't be surprised Centrelink check forums for people cheating he system and boast about it. If they see your AV they will think, ahha, bigP has heaps stashed away. Fortightly checks for anyone connected to him.

I guess you are right Dougwe, I will find a photo of poor and broken to take its place..

Cheers buddy, im just a poor pensioner living on heated up cat food, tastes way better that way.. but getting expensive.

I have a number of gold bars stashed under my martin baker (ejection seat). lol

Plain label dog food is cheaper mate. Get the big tins. Get a bag of said brand crunchy for some ruffage in the diet. All good. Nit only that it helps clean the teeth too.

Thanks Doug, we get into the grass as well. Figure that if its good for the sheep and cows, must be something in it for us.. the odd roadkill (fresh of course) is a delight. lol

Not unusual I,ve been reproting for 18mths because Bev was working one day a week and if she did more it affected my benefit so they needed to know. Good luck getting info out of Centrelink each interveiw has a different slant on things .

Check with DVA as when my wife retired her pension was payed by the DVA. I would go to see them at your local LAN office.

 Cheers for that tiger, because I didn't spend too long in a combat zone I am not entitled to the service pension. Between my wife's pension, my DVA pension and newstart (for the time being) we get top ups called DFISA each week.

So all is well at the Phil ville.

That's spot on Ontos, I love our home on wheels, and it is miles better than a little bed sitter with a gas ring and esky in the grubby cities.
