Info on best road to travel with big rig. Hi all we are currently just north of Townsville and would love to attend the Xmas in July at Mareeba this year. But are not too
sure which road is the best to travel with a big rig being 9mtre converted bus towing 6mtre trailer. We would love to hear from anyone that has actually travelled to that destination
I agree Turn off just north of Innisfail It is by far the best for a big rig with big sweeping curves rather than the numerous tight corners of the Kuranda and Gillies Ranges. Follow the road to Malanda and then either turn left or right at the T intersection. There are ways to bypass Atherton as well if you wish It appears to be a good week and my sister is treasurer of the organising group.
