I received this info sent by a genuine IT Manager. I also heard on the radio that they are using some sort of support your police charity scam as well, this is the one below sent to me to be wary of;

Be careful of Bank News Bulletins coming via e-mail. As with lots of unsolicited e-mail, you can unsubscribe. However, the "unsubscribe" goes to a bank logon screen that asks you to log onto your account to finish the unsubscribe. Not the usual way of unsubscribing. I got 4 all up within a few days a few weeks ago.
One I finally got the bank to admit it was genuine (a real effort with people who don't speak / read english as their first language). Trying to explain to the off-shore help centre that they were breaking bank policy proved impossible. Banks do not have links in e-mails that go to a bank log-on screen. The off shore idiots who'd sent me the News bulletin had no idea what I was talking about.
A second bank still hasn't even recognised what's going on. I sent the e-mail back and it was rejected by the bank as address no longer valid. I re-sent the rejected message to their "hoax" department who couldn't see a problem despite the fact that the address that sent me the original was not a valid bank e-mail address. Their off-shore help desk is useless.
The other 2 banks admitted that the bulletin was a fraud.
I have had 2 emails for Bpay saying my' rather large 'payments have been processed - what payments she thinks -and deletes. Also one saying my Apple account needs updating - I dont have any Apple account.
