The archillies is all good, two grand children borne, the stitches are out of my hand and the surgeon says I can travel in two weeks. So Lorraine and I have booked a flight to Melb. on 20th July to pick our van up out of storage. Our friends looking after the van say it's dam cold there at the moment, hence I plan to install a heater as soon as we get over.
Looking forward to meeting up with old friends again.
Great news, welcome back from te land of the long white cloud.
I suspect we will miss you on your way through Melbourne, as we fly out on the 19th (fwee just escaped in time) for a month, and I suspect you will have headed off to places warmer by the time we get back on the 20th of August.
It is great to see you coming back, and I am sure we will catch up one day.
Kia Ora Bros !!! Whats all the damage to your body ? Cut yourself getting paua lol
We're currently in Berwick, which is a suburb in S.E Melbourne.
Either bring wool lined cricket boxes, ugg boots and a long swanie or get that heater installed smart quick. The weather here varies during the day from weak sunshine to gloomy clouds and the breeze (usually) or wind (not too often) is straight off the ice. On the TV weather forecasts nowdays they give the official temps and also "feels like" temp. Typically the official temp is about 14 during the day, but "the feels like" is 2-8c. In low lying areas in the metro area they are getting fog for 3-4 hours in the morning and overnight frost and ice.

Bruce, we have friends in Rye on The Mornington Peninsula where we are going to be parked up while I get the van sorted out. The van and cruiser have been parked up for a yr and a half at friends in Gisborne, so hope every thing will be ok with
Also have nice Ugg Boots waiting for us in the van
Then again if YOUR van is nice and warm maybe we could stay in that till the heater is up and running
Bruce, if you are going to be around for a few weeks, maybe we could meet up.
But then again if Dougwe says you are of questionable repute!!!????????
And Dougwe is of senior standing, is he not.

Haha - Doug is of senior standing - hes usually flat on his back from too much red cordial especially when at Greens.
But, yes.....hes definitely senior - very senior - but he still cuts a fine figure in his war headgear when hobbling down the main street of little towns on his zimmer frame LOL
Your turn now Chiefeee................!!!
And Brandt......I don't know if it would work out if you spent time in our van bed with us <chuckle> - we will be here for about another 2 weeks before heading up towards Sydney

Haha, you covort with who ever you want to Brandt, just don't tell Lorraine.
Welcome back to the " big island" Kiwi's - you will need that heater asap, even cold at night in Qld ! Might run into you as we head in a southerly direction!
