amazing stuff, blows my mind, it's too big to comprehend.
What we know about the universe is so little, especially when we're told space never ends, and if it does end, what's beyond it?
The outback sky is stunning, all those stars are Suns, all to hard to imagine!!
As for astrology, I believe your personal chart, (not predictions in newspapers), tells your life journey, and choices we make. To do a personal chart, we have to know exactly what time we were born.
I spent a bit of time studying astrology, and it was revealing.
People laugh when I say I have trouble sleeping on a full moon, well, if such a small planet can pull the Oceans of the world, then why can't it affect my body??
My father was a Surveyor and part time lecturer in Astronomy. Surveying is based on the stars, not too many people realise that Trigg Stations are fixed at the highest point based on astronomy where Surveyors take their mark.
Growing up, I knew I was privileged to look at the stars from our Sydney backyard to a paddock in the bush.
What I just saw is what makes the internet so amazing, we all can understand and witness what the Astronomers are discovering everyday.
I hope you all have the star identification app on your phone.
Morning Vic, excellent video, certainly puts things into perspective.
This is another astronomical site that may be of interest http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html run by NASA it publishes a new astronomical photo daily, many from the Hubble telescope, very good site.
Some astrologists say never have surgery around full moons, eclipses etc.
Another phenomenon is Mercury retrogrades, that occur for approx. 2 weeks, three or 4 times a year.
Mercury doesn't go retrograde, it only appears to go backwards.
Many recommend not to make commitments, sign contracts, often there's confusion with communications, or take more care in case of accidents during this time.
For your interest, you can google Mercury retrogrades.

When you put a telescope above the atmosphere you get much clearer images. When it was launched it was actually quite disappointing when the first images came down because they were somewhat blurry they weren't sharp. It turned out there was a problem with the way the telescope mirror, they sent a team of astronauts up in 2003 to repair it, great success, has been working perfectly since.
Here's another link with info re Hubble as well as some spectacular images:
There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the terms Astronomy and Astrology, many people confuse the two, I know the title of the thread is Astrology, however given the subject matter I'm sure Vic intended it to be Astronomy, correct me if I'm wrong Vic.
Astronomy: The study of objects and phenomena originating beyond the Earth's atmosphere, is a science.
Astrology: Astrology, which uses the apparent positions of celestial objects as the basis for the prediction of future events, is defined as a form of divination and is regarded by many as a pseudoscience having no scientific validity. (In other words, hocus pocus)
I'm use to people saying hocus pocus, but if you have seen, heard and experienced what I have, you may be shell shocked.
Having said that, yes, there's plenty of shonky practitioners, using all kinds of tools.
Just because I frequent a Spiritualists Church, doesn't mean every psychic/medium or other type of reader is "the best", and everything I've learned, heard and seen, is free.
Personally, not a fan of religion, telling people what to eat, or wear, and how they should follow another persons "behaviour", then take our money, often 10% of your wage, for that privileged information, is contrary to our free will.
No doubt I've broken the forum rules, I apologize in advance. Walk a mile in my shoes, then decide!!! lol lol Cheers Lesley F.
Yes Santa, I'm pretty sure you're right in saying Vic meant astronomy. I mean, you couldn't really show the facts of astrology. That'd be like trying to show proof of God's existence... or non-existence, depending on your bent. Like the author of that video, I'm an Ignostic

Sounds good to me Santa (confused titles) actually I think the original link I posted mentioned the Universe and Galaxies neither Astronomy or Astrology, so I was wrong on both counts
Sheesh.....I think I'll stick with having my palm read....
Speaking of astronomy, have you notice that Venus and Jupiter have been getting closer and closer when viewed at night? they are almost in conjunction.
