Need some help.

I am heading to port Hedland, will be there within the next week. Need to spend a few days there to catch up on stuff, then heading South. I need suggestions for a nice quiet spot, preferably near the sea, but not necessary, to park up for a couple of weeks. I require, quiet, not too crowded, reason able price. Power not necessary but water either in site or close by would be great. All suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advanc. Ohhh and not too far south of Hedland.

Dont want much do I.

Not going to get much in Pt. Hedland Sharon. When we stayed there last year the cheapest place was at the Golf Club for $30 a night and it poured with rain so the ground flooded badly.
There is a new free camp opened up near the race course, check Weevil's posts on Free and Budget Camping. Not sure what it has but will tell you all the details when you find it.

Thanks Marj. Did not explain myself too clearly. Yup have the new free camp locked in. I am looking for a nice quiet place when I leave PH.

have a look at Main Roads WA web site - heaps of really good and quiet well formed rest areas you can stay for a week or so. Good toilets which are cleaned daily, but no water - you would have to get it from a roadhouse or carry it

Otherwise wikicamps - $7.99 a year with 14 day full use of site trial - download it as an app on to your Ipad or Android or W8.1 on your laptop - or Camps 8

We are just a tad south of Hedland!! 1600 kms or so is close, isn't it?
Seriously when you get closer to Perth we can offer free site with water and flushing loo but no power.

Thanks every one. I do have Wikicamps and the camps book, and use them all the time. I guess I would like a recommendation. A quiet little CP somewhere would be just fine with me. Of course not one that charges $40 plus pernight.

Sufil, thank you so much for your kind offer. As I head further south I might just take you up on that offer. I am planning on being around for October at this stage. Will see what happens. I will be spending some time in Perth with my sister also.

I am sure the right place will appear before me as I go along.
