Hello caravaners, we have just come back from a 4 day trip to Charters Towers ,very dry out that way ,hardly any traffic both ways but good scenery.Charters is a nice little community and the view from towers hill of the surrounding area is great .We were joined up on the hill by rock wallabies ,padimellons ,red tail black ****atoos ,We came home via Townsville then up the bruce hwy and stayed the last night at Ingham ,behind the Tyto wetlands information centre.They have just opened it up again to self contained caravans& motorhomes.at $10 /night.It has a dump point ,called in at Lucinda to ckeck the place out ,it would be good place to go fishing but at this time of year the van park was chockers .We did not stop after that till we arrived home ,The Toyota never missed a beat and the van tagged along behind did not know it was on, overall a great trip to get my eye back into the towing after a 12 month layoff JOHN....
