This is not going to be a good topic, but it has to be said, a lot of overnight free stops if you walk 20 to 30 metres into the bush there is white confetti paper left by our lady friends, maybe take a small plastic bag and dump the confetti in the bin, this will come back to bite everyone, like I say sensitive, but it is what it is, cheers

I don't find it sensitive at all but imagine their bottoms might be after wiping with confetti.
Im not trying to be PC, but I don't think its just the lady sized bits of confetti that litter our rest areas - but much longer lengths that rip apart (for obvious reasons) and then blow around the place.
This subject has me on my soap box all the time !!
Often packbackers are blamed here, but theyre not the only ones - we Aussies are just as bad.
I call it W.A snow - it looks the closest thing to snow as you approach a rest stop till you see the paper it all caught up in the surrounding scrub or grass. It seems much worse in WA because the paper doesn't rot away from rain water like most of the other States.
And very often on the major roads where there are 100's of long haul trucks we can thank the trucking companies for this. They don't provide any proper toilet that is suitable or self contained (for smell) for the drivers who have no choice but to carry their own roll of paper and stop at the rest areas. Drive any long haul route with big truck rigs and you will see the truck at the rest area with no driver in the truck - hes trying his best to hide behind a bush and then has to leave his dirty paper behind. No excuse for the major truckers like Toll and Fox not to provide something suitable. Given the cost of a tractor unit, to buy one suitable and then have it fitted with a porta potti or whatever is a blink dollar wise for them

I new this would be touchy, backpackers, GN'S, truckers, yes, but the gender that need paper for that quick p-- are females, this is Aussie we are littering, take it with you to a bin or where ever, cheers
Hi Peter. Yes subject has been flogged to death in the past and everyone on this Forum agrees that its bad - so I guess that none of us have ever done it or continue to do it (was that a big, fat pig I saw fly past).
The only argument has been is a particular travelling sector mainly responsible - like overseas backpackers, women who need to dab, us nomads, the gypies or fairies.
If its overseas visitors, we're not going to change their habits. But we can change these bad practices of nomads and truckers (through their employers who don't supply them any toilet facilities. Ive never been expected by my employers to go out the back of the factory, office or shop and squat and do the buiss outside and leave my paper snow)

dING........never had the desire to get that close to check out the gender origin LOL
But certainly in hot and dry WA, any coloured paper (including toilet paper) will dry and bleach white (no - lets not get into recycling) fairly quickly
