Well folks we made it into Byron Bay today at lunch time and have booked into the only dog friendly park here Belongil Field's a very favourite haunt of DOUGWE so I suppose we should call it DOUGWE TOWN. Doug did warn us that this is a "VERY" basic caravan park and well, he is right but in saying that very spacious sites. The girl at the front office was a laugh when we booked in when I told her that her park came recommended. Serious she said she Who would want to stay here!!! anyway apart from that not a bad place except for the bloody rain which is going to hang around til late Thursday. Tomorrow we are planning a trip to Nimbin to look at the sites LOL wonder what we will come across. Anyway folks that's all for now, stay safe out in the playground until we talk again.
woof woof - check out Mt Warning if you are reasonably fit and agile - its not too bad 'cept for the last teensy bit and great to do I reckon .
Also the Cliff top walk from Lennox Heads to Ballina is awesome with a great beach café at the end of it ! About 10k and lots of beach great for walking the puppies I reckon
No rain here in tropical Townsville C1. Not cold either, 24c as we speak.
Glad you made it to "Dougwe Town" but mate it's actually "Dougweville" and one of my favourite places. Got a nice beach sort of across the road too, "The Beach". Although it could be a little cold by the sounds of it.
Enjoy Nimbin tomorrow and no bikies.
Peace man!

In Nimbin, Dougwe, they are called "cookies" - watched Asian tourists get off a tour bus, they started walking down the street waving $20 notes saying "cookie, cookie" - a lady sitting beside the Rainbow Café (the one that has since burnt down) obliged with smile, handing out three cookies in a bag for $20! She did a roaring business that day - which is apparently very common down there! Actually saw Jonny Depp selling cookies there once, well, I thought it was him, anyway.
