Alligator Creek Roadhouse


Just had a phone call from a mate that he was going to stop at this site number 38 in camps 8 , It's is now closed and no camping signs have been installed , Alligator Creek Roadhouse is 22klm south of Townsville he has been told the roadhouse  sick of cleaning up rubbish left behind .

Gday...

I spent a week in the Nome Caravan Park which is just a little bit north of the Alligator Creek Roadhouse a year or so ago.

I drove past there at least twice a day and it was 95% whizz-bangs (backpacker types) - there were not many caravans or RVs there.

So, I will jump on the well-worn (and probably unfair) bandwagon ... bloody backpackers have done it again cry

Can confirm that it IS CLOSED. I called in when coming through to Townsville.

Oh well, you take it as it comes and get on with things.

 

Edit....the camping area is all fenced off now.
