We went to spend a few days in toowoomba couple of weeks back but as we had a small dog and the dog friendly parks were booked out so kept going but did try the one out of town by the river, they wanted $2.50 for our dog. I asked what they would be feeding her, lol. What is the money for, she is a mini foxy that lives in the van and when she goes out side we clean up after her, I know $2.50 isn't much i wasn't paying it and we drove onto Brisbane . If she was a bigger dog maybe but not her. we are up at woodgate now and can see why so many of u talk about it, great place.
Without defending or apologising for caravan parks, I think you will find that that their public liability insurance premiums are way higher if they allow animals. Should someone's little treasure fasten on to some poor passer by whilst they are in the caravan park, not only is Fido's owner liable but also the owner of the caravan park for allowing little Fido on the premises. As a result, when they allow animals in the park, their public liability premiums are much higher than an animal free park.
