Shut the front gate!

A private camping area. Well done OMD. It looks really nice there and I am sure you will leave reluctantly.

If in your travels North you find yourself in Townsville before September, send up the smoke signals and we might be able to have a pow wow.

Keep Safe in your travels.

Northern Shores at Copton one of our favourite places .... Stayed there a couple of times in the last few years .... Lots cheaper than the State Park on the other side. Great for kayaking ... Very peaceful and reasonably maintained for the cost and amenities there. Very popular with locals at Inverell as less than 20 Kim's Awayimage.jpg

We are at Lake Copeton (Copeton Dam) - Eastern Shore - free - drop loo a good walk up the hill, with rubbish tins. The road in is tarred, to the entry of the park, then good gravel - well at the moment it is a bit chopped up - had lots of rain - road leads to the boatramp. Not many staying out here, about 40k from Inverell on Howells Road, which comes of the Uralla Road.

Good level spots, and the dam water can be used for washing etc.

Recommend it for sure.
