Thanks for posting, migra. Today discovered I have one of the affected items - would have been really p.....ed off if I didn't know abut the recall. Took some pics and emailed them to Proquip and they immediately came back asking for an address to post a replacement to.

thank-you Migra and Joe50 for posting...

Inspite of the correct cap I am still having problems sealing the cap on my proquip fuel can, it is quite fumy...

I am wondering if you can check the seal on yours by doing it up then giving it a squeeze to see if any fumes escape...

If any fumes do escape it would be really great if you made an accc complaint stating the new improved cap does not seal and it is unfit for purpose.

Will check mine out when I get back from my southern sojourn tomorrow, haven't used the 'can' since I received the replacement cap but will give it the squeeze test.

Have checked my Proquip 20 litre container with the replacement cap - seems to pass the squeeze test, but I guess the real test will come when it's full of fuel.
