Gladstone (Qld), Gympie (Qld) and Monto (Qld)

We plan a trip up the Bruce Highway staying at Gympie, Gladstone and Monto and invite advice on caravan parks in or near those towns. Have read some pretty poor reviews, and Gladstone in particular seems a difficult place to obtain powered site fees. Any help welcome.

Instead of Monto -head out to Wuruma Dam - 50k south on way to Eidsvold. No power, or fresh water, but flushing toilets, and water for dishes, showers or clothes washing. Great spot lots of redclaw being caught, and the fish will be biting soon. And it is FREE!

Thank you Jules47 and Brickie. We are going to give Monto (my birth-place) a miss with the van but will do a day trip to there from Gladstone; and Gympie seems to be off the menu too. Thank you for your help.
