Hellow fellow caravans, I have been having issues with my water tanks lately as I not been getting as much water use as I expected ,so I bought an inline flow monitor to connect to the fill hose. I also cleaned the breather pipes on both tanks as hornets had built nests in them.I foned up crusader caravans to see if they could tell me how much the tanks each held ,and the answer I got was 82 ltrs ,going off the chassis numba of the van ,Another idea I had was to measure the tanks and get a approx. idea that way,it worked out to be 95 ltrs approx. whilst under the van I then noticed stamped onto the tanks 95ltrs so I had found something positive at last .Now it gets interesting ,seeing as how I had drained both tanks, I then started to fill the tanks one got to 85 ltrs before it started to come back out the fill pipe the other only reached 76 ltrs before doing the same .Has anyone else had this problem Thanks JOHN

From what I've seen, no 2 tanks are the same - one may be installed slightly higher or may have the retaining straps tighter around the tank. I've seen them new in BCF and some are slightly bulged in, others out.
When the tank manufacturer say 95 litres that may mean only with a top fill entry whereas a side fill entry would reduce the capacity.
I'd be happy with the figures you quote....they are within less than 1 percent of what the van manufacturers (not tank) quote - 161 litres actual against 162 litres in the van specs.
