Yes you can but always preheat the oven first.Keep away from coils and temp no higher than 180 c

Happy cooking

Not sure Doug googled it once and a lot of people complaining that they are shattering ? I believe that they are referring to the new ones from China . Should be ok though I would think . Would love to buy some old ones

Have look for the older Corelle plates at your local Sallies or Vinnies, they have been around for a long time so there are sure to be some for sale sooner or later.
We picked up a complete setting for $5 at a garage sale in an over 55's village.
Cheers
David

We have them, but I find that the plates get hotter than the food in the microwave
I would not try them in the oven but let us know how you go

Well I found some info thanks to Mr Google as well, not good really but decided to wrap the bowl in tin foil just in case in shattered and was prepared to go down the street for a feed if anything bad happened. Well you never know if you don't give it a go.

Well, I didn't have to go down the street and enjoyed a lovely Lamb casserole with vege and mash spuds I had made up and was frozen that I forgot to take out of freezer. Partly thawed so it would slip out of plastic container and into the Corelle.

I will however get something different for future use if needed.

Yeh, I know, I could have used the micro but it is used for storage and was lazy. Besides need to know these things for when no micro available.

Thanks everyone.

Denis,  I blame the iPad as I have always said it has a mind of it's own. I am 100% positive I change my bad ways but then after I submit the post the change hasn't been done. I also admit I am not  a very good proof reader, obviously.

 New ones from China?

Funny you should say that.

I dropped one today & of course it shattered.  The broken bits were the same opaque color right thru.  Several years ago a Lady dropped one in the aisles at Big W & those shards were clear glass on the inside.

I'll have to have a close look at mine to see where they were made.  I thought that they were made in the US .. Silly me.  Everything (almost) is made in China these days, usually to a lesser standard but with the same outward appearance.

What they need is some good Japanese quality , hey?

Don't know if they can be used in the oven.  Try it & if it breaks, only cost $10 or so.   (Oh yes, please let us know how it goes .. perhaps save us some money)

Oops ..  have now read the answer to my final comment .. Blame it on SWMBO.  She just came in with a cup of coffee & distracted me.  Sorry.  (also misplaced the $30 that she just gave me at the same time ... to pay a $45 bill!  .. Bloody women)
