Thanks Big Gorilla yes had seen that post but some body local has said Tallangatta ,Mitta Mitta to Omeo is the better road and was wounding weather anybody has done that one . Drove from Mt Beauty to Falls creek and back last week and think it would be a hard drive towing a caravan.

Just received this email from Police at Mitta Mitta:

Ken

Vic Roads advise against caravans and trucks due to the number of sharp bends.   Vans still continue to use it without problems.

Snow predicted for tomorrow down to 1400 metres but this should be fine as the highway is lower than that.

I will probably stay at Lightning Creek Tuesday night.

Just talk to a chap who done it in a small pop top caravan he said he wouldn't do it again too many bends and bad edges in places .

Honest, if it's not snowing, it truely is perfectly fine to Lightening Creek. It does get a bit more windy past lightening creek and as I said in the other post we never went past Anglers Rest . Lightening Creek is so pretty beside the river.
