What happens when you're in the middle of the outback or far flung part of the world and you break a tooth or lose a filling?

A Melbourne dentist has developed a dental emergency kit for travellers.  

The "Dentist In A Box" is designed to offer and easy, effective, temporary fix for common dental problems, such as lost fillings, until you can get yourself to a dentist. 

Dr John Banky, a member of the Australian Dental Association, developed the kit, which is now used by the Australian Defence Force and mining and exploration companies.

Described as basic first aid for teeth, the kit is the size of a CD pack and it assumes no medical or dental knowledge.

The kit cost is $29.
