Solar Power - Calculator

Just got this site from Pat Callinan's 4X4 Mag

http://www.mr4x4.com.au/solar-power-for-your-4x4/?utm_source=Pat+Callinan%27s+4X4+Adventures+Newsletter&utm_campaign=857cc3a553-Newsletter_106&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_9f4ce577b0-857cc3a553-132027497&mc_cid=857cc3a553&mc_eid=7daf4e8498

NOt sure how useful or correct it is though.

Perhaps some of our many experts would care to comment.

Was this the calculator you were referring to Cupie? Redarc Solar Calculator

Here's an excel spreadsheet by Richard Graylin that might be useful too.

The Excel spreadsheet be it more complicated for most is the better tool to use in my opinion. The key in using it is knowing how much power you use on a daily basis and what your system is and capable of.  I just used it for my own calculations and it confirmed what I already thought, that I need another 180Watt panel to add to my existing 2 panel bank (2 x 180Watt).

There's lots of Solar calculators about, but this one 03_Troopy posted is one of the best I've seen, for me it's been helpful so, thanks for posting it.

Credit for that spreadsheet has to go to Richard Graylin, a member of another forum I used to frequent and has been generously made available at Campertrailers.org

And yes Steve, I like the spreadsheet too, especially being able to factor in a few days of no sun in a row to see how your batteries will cope.
