The Excel spreadsheet be it more complicated for most is the better tool to use in my opinion. The key in using it is knowing how much power you use on a daily basis and what your system is and capable of. I just used it for my own calculations and it confirmed what I already thought, that I need another 180Watt panel to add to my existing 2 panel bank (2 x 180Watt).
There's lots of Solar calculators about, but this one 03_Troopy posted is one of the best I've seen, for me it's been helpful so, thanks for posting it.
