WURUMA DAM

Hi Everyone, We have an old camps 5 and it does not show this dam. Can anyone tell me "from Eidsvold, is it black tar and dirt" Our caravan is not an off road one and also is it flat where you park at the dam? thanks.

Gday...

Sealed roads ... good quality .... you will have no problems.

There are some flat areas for camping .. but mostly not that level. Others there now will give you a better idea of conditions right now.

These directions will help perhaps -

Hi Rocket - John's directions are spot on. The road into the dam is sealed, until you get to the dam entry - then gravel. Some of the roads are excellent, some not so good. There are some level sites - but you will probably have to use those levels you bought at the caravan show.

When are you coming? Soon, I hope!

John's route is correct but  here is another way that cuts 17kms off the trip it is a good but unsealed road.

Look for the Cynthia Range Road when on the Wuruma Dam Road.

I use it with the bus so it can't be too rough, the worst part is the grid and level crossing getting on to the road.

John

Travelled the Cynthia Range Road the other day, in the little car, and it is indeed a good road - raining today, might not use it on the way to Eidsvold.

Not sure if the severe damaging weather currently on the east coast and heading as far inland as Roma will effect you guys out there but if so, you better take it in turns using Johns Kayak. The others waiting their turn just hold on tight.

Wet as already hear in Byron but not bad really. Plenty to come according to the weather gods. Might go get a wet suite and surf board ready.
