Redarc bcdc charger system

Hi every one, have just received my above charger and will be installing myself, one question I have that someone may be able to answer.

it has mppt solar regulator built in so if I plug my panels into it do I need to by pass the regulator on the panels.

cheers  OMD ( pete )

Yes, the controller closer to your batteries is a better way to do it as well anyway.

 Hi,

Very true and the Redarc MPPT controller is a better unit than any panel mounted regulator I have seen. confuse

 Hi Pete

YES, definately bypass or remove the regulator on the panels

It may pay you to check how much voltage you are loosing in the connecting leads from the panel TOO,wink
