Google Newcastle Herald and check out the many photos of the damage done in Stroud, Dungog and Newcastle surrounds, unbelievable!!!
Makes you think just how safe are you when free camping along a river bank particularly in remote hilly areas without mobile coverage. I live not far from Stroud and often drive pass and note the number of vans parked there and always tho and would never had thought that it would flood to the level it did.
You are not wrong there Dunmowin and I tell you that for free. I am sitting out what we have here on the NSW south coast though for a couple of days. Took me while to find that pick of a fellow "Chief". Shut the front gate! How devastating to the owners. I just hope they are OK.
I will sit it out until Friday and keep out the way then start heading up north.
