Water tanks

Hi all Got a problem with my water tank filler and hose connection on my 2013 25ft Sterling When both tanks are full and I connect the hose to the hose plug water flows out of the tank fillers I guess there is a stop valve not working somwhere but not sure how to solve Any one had a similar problem Would appreciate some feedback Cheers Len

Len. Why don't you email Jayco with this one? They don't build their RVs as good as they used to, but they provide great after sales and warranty service. They will go out of their way to help you, even though in theory, you are probably out of warranty (Jayco in fact apply a 2 year warranty to their vans - so they tell me)

Hi Len

I'd suggest you join this forum www.expandasdownunder.com/ and post your query there. It is not just for Expanda van, but any model. They have Jayco staff who monitor the queries there.

Gday Len

This is only a suggestion as it sounds like the tanks are over pressure for some reason. There is a connection between the tanks and the normal hose connection (we have a 2013 starcraft) I have had to modify my own connections to something more robust and discovered a one way valve in the hose fill connection, this is to stop water from coming out when on internal tanks. This leads me to believe there is some sort of connection between the two, your story just confirmed it. I did think the two systems were autonomous.

My suggestion is empty the tanks a little via the hand pump over the sink, this may relieve any pressure buildup in the tanks.

Other than that give Jayco a call, I have found them very useful in situations like this.

Take care and travel safe
