I would expect all Councils would have rules about offering accomodation or camping without meeting regulations and I expect any council that had people using this scheme or had complaints from neighbours or other businesses would take action. The idea sounds nice in theory, but I have to admit if my neighbours started putting up other people as a business I would have concerns about noise and traffic and other things.

100% agree with you Meredith. Yet another idea to cause neighbourhood disputes. Too often these, particularly in suburban areas, are settled with violence.

On the other hand, farmers and the like who are on large acreage with no near neighbours, should be able to have others stay on their properties if they wish to do so.

Could not have written it better. Totally concur with your comments.

Good for both parties.

Yes as far as town allotments are concerned would be a problem but acreage holders should not be a problem, which is what I was thinking about.

Bloody councils, trying to extract money out of people. They will try every trick in the book.

A council in northern NSW a few years ago received a Government Grant to put kerb and guttering in a small town, then had the hide to bill the residence whose places it passed.

The council lost that one.
