Dodge Ram coming to australia

In a special deal with Walkinshaw racing and Holden special vehicles.

see more here: http://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/dodge-ram-pick-ups-are-coming-with-help-from-holden-special-vehicles/story-fnjwucvh-1227298550579?utm_content=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=EditorialSF&utm_source=News.com.au&utm_medium=Facebook

cant bluddy wait myself but I was not going to pay the exorbitant prices the low volume importers were asking.

Yes Bill they are, but have you seen the prices?

The ones in the story above will have full manufacturer warranty and backing.

I am excited

They still ask $130k for a Toyota Tundra I cant see the Ram being cheaper than that as its a much bigger heavier vehicle

I have a 2010 Dodge ram Laramie best vehicle I ever bought fuel economy better than a Landcruiser and a heap more comfortable, with a 6.7 ltr turbo cummins I never need to worry if I have enough power. Towing weight and ball weight not an issue.

Thanks Wayne, your rig looks great

I am quite envious of your Laramie.

I sat in one at a show a few years ago and it was like sitting in my lounge at home it was so comfy.

and all those gadgets

There is some info around that the initial imports will be expensive but as popularity grows they expect the price will drop which would be nice.

Have to agree Dodge, we have a 2014 Laramie, cost was the same as a Land Cruiser Safari. As it has both 2WD and 4WD we find we can tow our 3.5 tonne Bushtracker mostly in 2WD without any issues. Fuel economy is amazing, 12.5 litres/100 highway (not towing) and 18 -20 litres/100 towing. The AD Blue ensures the emissions are minimal. A more ECO friendly vehicle than the Toyota. Yes, the Cummins 6.7 litre diesel is a great engine. Where we live in rural Victoria, we have access to 4 Cummins dealerships who are happy to service our vehicle. It is a big truck, but the power steering makes driving a breeze.

cheers,

Robyn
