its exactly 2 years today that we took delivery of our new Jayco Starcraft 20 foot caravan. We live in this van 24/7 after selling our home and most of our possessions.
I often look back to see what we miss due to this monumental lifestyle change, the answer comes back NOTHING!!
i don't miss the costs of keeping a home including rates etc but you have heard all that before.
This is the best decision we have made. We are comfortable have very low living costs and live very nicely on the dole ATM and my military disability pension. We go away when we can, age a cruise happening in November and after the aged pension kicks in (October 2015) we will be in a great financial place.
Who could ask for more?
cheers

Such a nice feeling to know you've made the right decision. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure this will help others considering the same choice. Keep enjoying
Shut the front gate! Two loooong years A smiley face for each year
Mate, I agree 100%. I was only thinking about my departure from the previous life 7 months ago, no I didn't cash the knife and fork in, all though some would say "Bugga". I said to myself, self, you have done the right thing for sure. I am currently house sitting and even though I see my van each day in the drive, I miss being in it.
Phil and Mrs Phil, enjoy the playground as I know you do and I'm sure we will meet up at some stage. I know I love it out here.

You blokes rock my world. Frank we are heading out to Wallaroo in August after some repairs (self inflicted) to the van. Then in October we will both be on the aged pension but have the cruise to get over, then April next year we plan to go back to Perth, Esperance etc for 12 weeks and give the kids and our livers a break.
Yeah, as I said I can't find any reason this has been a bad decision. Met up with some crazy nomads at Pildappa Rock and had a great time exploring the peninsular.
If anyone in umming and areing over this be a NIKE and Just Do It.
Cheers
